Writing Tools: WriteWay Project Managment Software Looks Good

Thanks to the NaNoWriMo team for offering us WriMos a smorgasbord of writer’s software with major discounts attached. I’ve taken a look at Scrivener, and it really doesn’t look like it lends itself to the type of research tools I require (I am addicted to iOrganize, but it’s only available for Macs–sigh).

However, WriteWay looks very promising. I’ll be taking it for a spin during this year’s NaNoWriMo event. If you’re participating, please let me know. I’m still using the same username: WriteSister. I’d love to be your writing buddy if you need one (assuming that option is turned on again!).

WriteWay combines the power of a full-featured word processor and a host of organizational and project management tools geared specifically for novelists. Everything pertaining to your manuscript is at your fingertips–from background data including your notes, character profiles, research folders, synopsis, etc., to your story outline and composition. You’ll also see your word/page counts calculate on the fly and have the ability to adjust your writing session goals as needed, which will be great motivation as you race to the 50k-word finish line during NaNoWriMo!
